Leaving an amazingly peaceful Helford, to be confronted by a dazzling, sparkling morning.  I just had to try and capture it.  Can never truly do justice to what nature delivers but I loved the way the boats were silhouetted against the brilliance of the sun reflected on the water.

I was drawn (for all sorts of reasons…) to the Helford/Manaccan area many years ago and it still holds a certain tranquil magic – especially out of season.

Original oil on canvas 46cm x 56cm in a deep recessed white wooden frame.  Overall dimensions  66cm x 76cm x 4cm  £575 from the studio.  Delivery by art courier can be arranged.

I grew up on the north coast of Cornwall and although I’ve lived and worked in Southeast Asia, in Spain and in Scotland, all of which informed my work in different ways, Cornwall has always drawn me home.
