One source: Two rivers: One lovely tidal creek.

The rivers Carnon and Kennal in mid-Cornwall eventually feed Restronguet Creek, having coursed through some of Cornwall’s beautiful, some post-industrially recovered and some permanently scarred landscapes. I’m one of a group of artists who have each found inspiration in four of the OS gridsquares along the routes of the rivers.
The group includes painters, printmakers and ceramicists and glassworkers, whose work embodies, in some cases literally, through the clays, the spirit of these rivers.

Works will be for sale at THE SOURCE EXHIBITION, in Devoran Village Hall, on Easter Saturday, 16 April.

Jackie Hollingsbee

Cornish visual artist, working in oils and mixed media

I grew up on the north coast of Cornwall and although I’ve lived and worked in Southeast Asia, in Spain and in Scotland, all of which informed my work in different ways, Cornwall has always drawn me home.
