This week I am mostly painting….mud and stonework!
I love my north coast blues and ochres but living on the creek provides totally different inspiration. Reflections on wet mud as the water recedes and the organic hues and textures on the old Cornish stone of the estuary quays. Still holding after well over a century since they saw timber and coal coming in and processed minerals and metals going out. They’ve also taken on the signs of water life and they just d’belong.
Love this place I call home.
Hope you’re all having a good summer. Weather’s a bit patchy, is it not?
